Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month. For
indoor events meet 7.30 pm at Hazeland House, High Street, Desborough -
Admission £1.
For our outdoor events that take place on Tuesdays, meet at 7.00pm or, on
Sundays, meet at 10am (unless stated otherwise), in Station Road, Desborough.
Please wear stout footwear and bring waterproof clothing and for Sundays also
bring a packed lunch and a drink.

2007
 | Tuesday, 13th November: ‘Harp, Poetry and Birdsong’
with David Garrett and Nick Penny. An evening with a mix of music, words
and birdsong.

 | Tuesday, 11th December: Seasonal wildlife quiz and
social evening, including slides, exhibits and much more with Peter Earp.

 | Thursday, 27th December: Bob’s annual winter walk –
approximately 5 miles in the local area. Meet 10am Station Road,
Desborough. Outdoor clothes, boots and packed lunch essential. Ring for

2008
 | Tuesday, 8th January: ‘Indian Wildlife’ - from the
Himalayas to the sea, an illustrated talk describing a trip through India
by Jo Thomas.

 | Tuesday, 12th February: ‘Garden Ponds’ - an illustrated
talk looking at what you might find in a pond and what’s happening there,
by Henry Stanier.

 | Sunday, 24th February: A visit to Little Paxton Pits -
a trip to take in the wintering wildlife at this water and woodland
reserve with Arthur Mould.
Meet 10am Station Road, Desborough. Outdoor clothes, boots and packed
lunch essential.

 | Tuesday, 11th March: ‘Wildlife in Churchyards’ – a look
at how churchyards can be important wildlife habitat sites. An illustrated
talk by Ann Doody.

 | Tuesday, 8th April at 7.00 pm: the Group’s AGM followed
by ‘National Parks’ - an illustrated talk by John Starkey, looking at our
growing number of national parks and their importance for their residents
and visitors.

 | Sunday, 20th April: The Brick Pits at Stoke Bruerne -
exploring this Northampton reserve and some of the surrounding countryside
with Peter Earp.

 | Sunday, 11th May: Norfolk Coast from Dersingham onwards
with the hope of seeing many species of spring birds with Peter Earp.

 | Tuesday, 13th May: Orton wildlife area of Steve Chester
– a visit to this newly established woods and wild flower meadow.

 | Tuesday, 10th June: Rectory Farm Great Easton – farming
and wildlife together with farmers Phil and Sue Johnson, our contact Bob
Freeman.

 | Sunday, 29th June: Twywell Hills & Dales - a walk with
Dennis Renney hoping to see butterflies (including Marbled Whites) orchids
and wild strawberries.

 | Tuesday, 8th July: A Badger Watch to be organised by
Richard and Wendy Turner; a return to the programme by popular request.

 | Sunday, 20th July: Summer Leys – a gentle stroll around
the delightful water reserve taking in some local countryside with Stephen
Ashpole.
