The dream of the people of Malakisi
Township is to have a permanent building, or collection of buildings,
comprising a church, vicarage, clinic, nursery school (for the orphans),
polytechnic (to teach the young men and women dressmaking, tailoring,
carpentry, masonry and welding) and a classroom so that education – in
particular health education - can be offered to the adults.
If this dream were to be realised by
Malakisi Township Parish, it would transform the communities it serves. It
would provide the people with skills and help to free them from the poverty
trap in which they live.
St Giles Church is committed to
helping the people of Malakisi Township and the surrounding communities
