The Community Centre

Through Jesus Christ, St Giles Church is here to be a caring, sharing, worshipping community meeting the needs of all people

The Community Centre is in use almost every day of the week. It serves the Church and it serves the wider community of Desborough.

All the organisations connected with the church use the centre for their meetings and activities.

  • On Sunday mornings after the service, it is a meeting place over tea and coffee for the people of the church.

  • Church groups such as the Ladies' Fellowship and Thursday Club meet regularly there.

  • Monthly lunches are served here from the spacious new kitchen.

  • Local organisations use the centre for jumble sales and other fund-raising events.

  • The young people of the church use it for meetings and for indoor games. Rainbows, Beavers, Brownies, Cubs, Guides, Scouts, Link Up, Youth Fellowship

  • Every Festival event - Barrows and Baskets, Flower, Christmas Tree - all the rooms in the Centre are used for various stalls.

  • The National Blood Transfusion Service uses the centre on a regular basis to collect from the donors of Desborough.

  •  .... the list goes on.

Thousands of people from the church and town pass through its doors every year. To book the Community Centre
