The A6 maintrunk route runs from the A14 (M1-A1) link through to Leicester and beyond.
The A14, only about 2 miles away runs east to west and gives a link to the east to:

The A14 gives further good links to the A45 and the A43, the latter giving access to Oxford, Reading and the M40

The Rothwell-Desborough A6 bypass retains these links while taking the A6 traffic away from the town.

Desborough no longer has a rail link of its own although there is strong local support and campaigning to restore a station to the town.

Market Harborough and Kettering give rail links to Leicester, Derby, Sheffield, Wellingborough, Bedford, Thameslink trains, Luton Airport and London St Pancras.

Midland Mainline

Midland Mainline operate the rail services from Kettering and Market Harborough.

Desborough is central to the following airports and access via the M1, M6 or A14/M11 gives dual carriageway motoring virtually all the way. Coach connections from Kettering, Northampton or Leicester give easy access and British Rail gives easy access to Luton.
