Our Belgian friends
visited us for the weekend 1-3 May 2009
They arrived
on the Friday evening and, after a short reception in the Community Centre,
they went to their Desborough hosting families for an evening meal and a
well-earned sleep following their long day. They had left Bievre in
the early hours of the morning.
A guided tour in French and
English ...
along the river ...
and round the town ...
seeing some of the magnificent
buildings ...
from across the ages ...
all knowledgeably described ...
with wit and a passion for the
town.
After lunch we then went on to
...
Rutland water for a trip on
the Rutland Belle.
The day ended with a barbecue in
the Community Centre and we waved farewell at 11 o'clock Sunday morning.
