Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month. For indoor events meet 7.30 pm at Hazeland House, High Street, Desborough - Admission £1.

For our outdoor events that take place on Tuesdays, meet at 7.00pm or, on Sundays, meet at 10am (unless stated otherwise), in Station Road, Desborough. Please wear stout footwear and bring waterproof clothing and for Sundays also bring a packed lunch and a drink.

2008

Tuesday, 14th October October: ‘Hidden Wildlife – Plants and Animals that Naturalists Overlook’ - an illustrated talk by Brian Eversham. A more unusual look at some less observed wildlife with the Trust’s Conservation Director.
Sunday, (Date to be determined) October  Autumn colours walk possibly in the Wakerley Woods area.
Tuesday, 11th November  ‘The Changing Flora of Northamptonshire’ - an illustrated talk by Brian Laney.
Tuesday, 9th December Seasonal wildlife quiz and social evening, including slides, exhibits and much more with Peter Earp.
Sunday, 28th December Bob’s annual winter walk; about 5 miles in local area. Meet 10am Station Road, Desborough - outdoor clothes, boots and packed lunch essential. Ring for details.

2009

Tuesday, 13th January ‘Brazil Amazon and Iguassou Falls’; a taste of this part of the South American continent in an illustrated talk by Bryan King.
Tuesday, 10th February ‘Local Butterflies and where to see them’; an illustrated talk by Doug Goddard from the Butterfly Conservation Trust.
Sunday, 22nd February A visit to Fen Drayton; a trip to take in the wintering wildlife at this wetlands area with Arthur Mould.
Meet 10am Station Road, Desborough - outdoor clothes, boots and packed lunch essential.
Tuesday, 10th March ‘Invertebrates of the River Welland’; a look at insect life in one of our local rivers. An illustrated talk by Richard Chadd.
Tuesday, 14th April  The Group’s AGM followed by ‘The River Nene Regional Park and wildlife of the Ise and Nene Valleys’ - an illustrated talk by Dr Richard Field of the River Nene Regional Park.
Tuesday, 12th May Glapthorn Cow Pastures and Short Wood in search of nightingales and bluebells, natural treasures at this time of year
Sunday, 17th May A trip to the National Stone Centre, Matlock and / or Carsington Water - an RSPB reserve both in Derbyshire, with Peter Earp. Note:Earlier start of 9am in Station Road, Desborough.
Tuesday, 9th June Fineshade Wood - a walk through this lovely wood and surrounding area with Dennis Renney.
Sunday, 14th June Ryton Gardens, the home of Garden Organic, including a tour with guide Stephen Ashpole. Gardening with a healthy sustainable world in mind.
Sunday, 5th July Barnock Hills and Holes plus Bainton - a walk with David and Rosemary Goodfellow, hoping to see butterflies (including Marbled Whites) and dragonflies.
Tuesday, 14th July Titchmarsh Nature Reserve - a walk around this wetland and wooded site with warden John Showers or Arthur Mould.
Tuesday, 11th August Desborough’s Nature Reserves - a stroll around these local green spaces with Stephen Ashpole.
Sunday, 16th August Harlestone Heath - a visit to a strip of rare habitat of acid heath land for Northamptonshire, with Stephen Ashpole.
